I have had a girls weekend planned for months. Was getting ready, got a call from Alaska Airlines and my flight out of Walla Walla was cancelled. Mechanical issue. I almost shit my pants. But I had enough time to drive to TriCities and catch a flight that would keep me on schedule for my flight into San Franscisco. Got to Pasco and waited, plane finally showed. Had an issue getting a dialed person off, then we finally boarded. I was in the first row. Saw the pilots doing preflight checks, saw him hang an "out of service" card on the throttle. Then the dreaded announcement over the PA came. MECHANICAL ISSUE!
I almost burst into tears.
After 45 minutes we finally departed, who knows what the issue was, something about the engine. We arrived safely and I am just praying my flight into San Fran is smooth sailing!

UGH! I totally hate it when flights have issues after issues. I hope you made it to San Fran without any further problems and are now having a great time.
MECHANICAL ISSUE ?? At least the sign didn't say "Pilot error"!!!
perhaps Mechanical issue is code for.. the mechanic is on a potty break??
