I really almost didn't publish that post about losing my Moxie because I felt like such a dill weed for crying over spilled soap...literally. But moments like that are part of the journey...
The day after posting, I was on my way to Florida for my cousin's wedding. When I arrived in Melbourne, Mike sent me a text saying "you won't believe what was waiting at our door when I got home from work". He sent me a really grainy camera phone picture of some bags on our mantle. I wasn't really sure what it was but it did look like gift bags.
The day I left Melbourne to come home, I had a 6am flight. I had to get up at 4:25 and didn't have time for a shower. Not that I could've showered even if I had the time because my aunt's water was shut off. Literally! It was hysterical. She had forgotten to pay the bill and in Florida they don't mess around. They shut your shit off! So no shower for me. Nothing like flying with greasy hair!
Compounded with the fact my already tight layover in Atlanta, my flight arrived late and we ended up waiting forever to pull up to the gate--I had to sprint from one end of the airport to the next. No joke. I ran from Terminal A to Terminal E. I was sure they were about to shut the cabin door without me. But when I got to the gate, turns out our plane had just arrived from Africa and was undergoing a massive deep clean and then a total security search. We ended up departing a full 30 minutes late. I really didn't have to haul ass like I did, had I known the flight was delayed. So there I was, unshowered and now sweating. Being in the south and all, I got a bit dramatic when I saw the flight was delayed. I quite literally sprawled out in the middle of the floor, stripped off as many layers as legally possible, and began fanning myself and
The remainder of the next 8 hours of traveling was spent keeping my arms at my sides, trying not to stress about missing the next two connections and worrying about whether my checked bag would ever make it home. By the time I finally arrived in Walla Walla, I was ready for a deep soak. I was so wrapped up in the travel drama that I had totally forgotten about the special surprise awaiting my return...
Seriously, I am overwhelmed by the support. I have NINE bars of Moxie! Plus a mud mask, a lip balm, and one tube of something without a label. I'm guessing it is bath milk or shower gel, and I can't wait to try it! I've got one bar of soap in the shower and one on the sink. Man, this stuff is the best soap on earth. Having only lathered up with a little nub, I had no idea just how much MORE luxurious the soap is at normal size. The lather is ridiculous and the little bits of lavender are so exfoliating--without being harsh. And after all that travel, showering myself with Moxie, well that was just the best thing ever.
Thank you all so much!
